Leviticus Chapter 10 tells the tragic story of Nadab and Abihu, Aaron’s sons, who offer "unauthorized fire" before the Lord, which was against God's commands. Because of their disobedience, fire comes out from the Lord and consumes them. Moses reminds Aaron that God demands to be treated as holy by those who approach Him. Aaron remains silent, mourning his sons' death.
Moses then instructs Aaron and his surviving sons, Eleazar and Ithamar, to continue their priestly duties. They are told not to grieve publicly but to remain focused on their responsibilities. God warns them not to drink alcohol when entering the tabernacle and to distinguish between what is holy and what is common.
