Jahasiel Peña Enriquez had an active DACA status when he was unjustly detained at a traffic stop in Weslaco on January 29th. Now, his DACA renewal is stuck in limbo, and a family is struggling to make ends meet without their sole provider.
I urged the Administration to expedite his renewal, but they denied my request. Rogue immigration policies are upending the lives of hardworking families; I won’t stop fighting until Mr. Peña Enriquez is released and safely back home.
