Andhra Pradesh Milk Contamination: 4 Dead, Investigation Underway

Описание: Tragedy in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh — four people have died in the last 48 hours after allegedly consuming adulterated milk supplied by an unauthorised local vendor.

According to Y Srikanth, two victims died on Sunday and two more succumbed today. Preliminary investigations suggest acute kidney failure and sudden urinary blockage caused by contaminated milk.

The vendor reportedly sourced milk from around 40 local cattle and farmers, supplying it to over 100 households. Samples have been collected from at least 75 residents.

Food Safety authorities have collected milk samples for lab testing, while medical teams conduct field inspections and health surveillance in affected areas.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has held a review meeting, directing officials to provide the best medical care and ordered strict action against those responsible.
