Nevada State Route 88 (SR 88) is a short but historically significant state highway connecting California's Carson Pass route to the major north-south corridor of U.S. Route 395. It's Southern Terminus is at the California State Line (continues as California SR 88). and It Meets NV- 206, 756 Before reaching at It's Northern Terminus at U.S. Route 395 (US 395) in Minden.
The highway functions as a connecting spur between two major roadways. It carries traffic from the scenic Carson Pass Highway (California SR 88) directly to the major regional artery of U.S. Route 395. Straight Path Through Carson Valley: Unlike its winding California counterpart, the Nevada segment is a nearly straight, north-south road that runs through the rural Carson Valley, with farm and ranch land on both sides. Predecessor Route: Before its designation as SR 88 in 1957, the road was known as State Route 37.
NV-28 is one of only two State Routes in Nevada that does not have a 3-digit Number. the other one is NV-28.
