Roberto Kelly of the New York Yankees had the misfortune of taking a baseball of the bat of Luis Polonia to the face after diving for it versus the Oakland Athletics. Unbelievably, though, he suffered the same fate a few days later against the Seattle Mariners when Ken Griffey, Jr. hot a hit that went off of his face. Roberto would end up being traded to the Cincinnati Reds for Paul O'Neill after the 1992 season!
