But more than his loss, a viral video of his controversial statement is dominating social media. In the clip, Khesari says, “Ram Temple is a matter of faith, but will anyone become a master or professor by studying there?”This comment triggered massive trolling, with users saying—“Ram Temple may not give jobs, but opposing it surely cost him the election.”

Khesari initially led the early rounds, but as counting progressed, BJP’s Chhoti Kumari took a strong lead of 7,739 votes.
As defeat became evident, Khesari gave an emotional reaction: “People are good… I trust only God.”
