A special property tax recovery drive has been launched in the Jayanagar sub-division under the leadership of Shri Ramesh, IAS, Commissioner of the South Zone Municipal Corporation. Officials inspected commercial complex buildings to verify usage and built-up area and initiated action to recover long-pending property tax arrears. Buildings with outstanding dues face sealing as per rules.
Dr. Madhu Patil, Joint Commissioner (South), Gagan, Deputy Commissioner (South), and the Revenue Officer of Jayanagar jointly conducted inspections and issued strict directions to Assistant Revenue Officers and staff of Jayanagar and JP Nagar to ensure mandatory tax collection and revision. Officials warned of disciplinary action against negligence in revenue collection.
