Safetran did not call these "hybrid bells". Instead, they were classified as "electronic bells". The term "hybrid" was coined because although the bell uses some electronics, it still uses a moving striker.
Most of these bells were made in the 1990s. Because of the aging electronics and the lack of replacement parts, these bells will soon become very rare.
