What was supposed to be a straightforward overland trip from BC to Drumheller turned into an unpredictable winter adventure. My main route was shut down due to avalanche control, forcing me onto a longer, more treacherous detour. Along the way, I encountered stuck vehicles, icy roads, and plenty of unexpected challenges—but also some absolutely stunning winter scenery.
