TreyMan Starts to Progress at OMP Round 7

Описание: Going into day 2 of our double header weekend at OMP, TreyMan woke up Sunday morning to kick off round 7, determined to try to overcome what was holding him back. The day prior Trey had an episode with sensory overload, fought through a panic attack and regained himself afterwards. As a family we were ready to break, questioning whether Trey would ever be able to overcome the fear and commotion of a Holeshot with a packed gate. We told him that it was okay if he couldn’t do it but maybe competing nationally wasn’t where we belonged. He was determined to prove us wrong, to start to face his fear and stay in the game.

Starting with his Supermini Heat, he fought to the front and raced for a solid 3rd! The day started out brighter than the day before. Allstar wasn’t as great with a far outside start position and not much track to work with. For the Supermini Main, he didn’t fall to the back like usual, instead he stayed right with the pack fighting through the middle in one of the shortest and tightest Holeshot in the series. We took that as a big step. Following that, we fought an issue with overheating, which worried us as we just got our motor back from it blowing apart at Round 5. Luckily that was an easy fix with running too lean and our motor wasn’t damaged!

Looking back on this day, it was the start of the stepping stone for the great things to come in Round 8.
