We spend a lot of our time as photographers watching what other do and then doing that. It happens, we know it happens. Everything I have ever come up with I doubt it! Is it any good? Will other's like it?

Well, over the years I've made some pretty good photographs, but that doesn't mean I will every time I go into the landscape.

What I do know is that I am happiest when I am playing, exploring, getting my feet wet and generally being me, rather than who I think I should be.

In this week's video I explore a beautiful stretch of coast in typically flat Scottish light, but discover images that surprised me, and gave me great pleasure and satisfaction.

In my book that's a win.
