Описание: Hazel Longbow. Follow me as I build a hazel longbow. Part One. The Stave. I have made only one hazel longbow - an 80 pound draw-weight self-bow with massive character - but I made some mistakes (I am only a beginner!). Follow me as I endeavour to improve on that bow by making a second hazel longbow. A series of videos stretching though spring into summer as I season, work and tiller the bow - hopefully achieving a longbow with a draw weight of 70-90lbs draw weight. Today I choose a wild, growing stave in the woods. I explain how to identify the hazel tree in winter and after finding several almost good enough boughs, harvest a seven foot long piece of fairly straight timber. Please remember this is not an instructional video - I am a novice bowyer with just a year's experience. This will be my eighth longbow.
