Punugulu is a popular snack from Andhra which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This #punugulu is made with Dosa batter, Rava, Rice flour, and other ingredients. Make this easy #teatimesnack and serve it hot with your favorite chutney. Do try it out and share your feedback with us!
Punugulu recipe:
Dosa batter - 1 ½ Cup
Rava - 2 tbsp
Rice Flour - 2 tbsp
Onion (finely chopped) - 1 no
Green Chilli (finely chopped) - 2 no
Coriander Leaves (chopped) - 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
Salt - ¾ tsp
Baking Soda - A Pinch
Oil - For Deep Frying
Cooking Instructions:
1. Combine the dosa better with the rice flour and rava and mix well.
2. Add the cumin seeds, salt, onion, green chilli and coriander leaves.
3. Add a pinch of baking soda and mix well.
4. Rest for 10 mins.
5. Heat oil and add dollops of the mixture with wet hands and deep fry until golden brown.
Cooking Tips:
1. Increase the quantity of rice flour if the batter is too runny, the consistency must resemble a thick dosa batter.
