Follow Ma’athir, a young journalist from the West Bank, as she reflects on life in a refugee camp and the day soldiers stormed her home. Despite her own story of struggle, she continues to amplify the voices of others from the refugee camp, ensuring the world hears what so many live through.
This film was produced as part of a project which seeks to strengthen the role of Palestinian women in national reconciliation efforts. The project supports women in leading initiatives that promote internal Palestinian reconciliation, in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security.
The project participants used the participatory video methodology, which empowers them to tell their own stories. Through hands-on learning in filming, editing, and storytelling, participants take full ownership of their narratives, using video as a catalyst for dialogue, reflection, and social change.
