I've been having trouble using the GoPro for FPV mainly because the wide angle lens puts things out of perspective. So I decided to upgrade to a dedicated FPV camera recommended to me by solider53flyer. The camera is amazing. It costs $45 and the shipping was free from China, but took 20 days to get to my door.
This video walks through the camera wiring with the TBS Discovery frame. But it should be useful to those wanting to use it with a different frame. The FPV camera runs off 12V and has a yellow video out cable that you wire to your FPV transmitter.
