Описание: Join us for Part 3 of our Canadian Rockies Road Trip as we venture deep into the backcountry to spend two nights in one of the most breathtaking places in Canada - Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park.

There are exactly two ways to reach Mount Assiniboine, by helicopter or by hiking in. As we’re still fairly new to backpacking and not used to carrying heavy packs, we decided to take the scenic option and fly in by helicopter.

Although anyone can hike in and out, Mount Assiniboine is so remote that most hikers need to stay overnight. That means booking a permit at the campground or securing accommodation at Assiniboine Lodge or Naiset Huts. Both options are VERY hard to book! We went for the Naiset Huts and it took us around 1,900 phone attempts on booking day to finally get through (yes, we were desperate ;p). In the end, we managed to secure one of the last 5 available dates. Was it worth it? Absolutely! Mount Assiniboine is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen.

In this video, we share our full experience flying into Mount Assiniboine, staying in one of the Naiset Huts (Fleabane) and hiking back to the Mount Shark helipad via Wonder Pass - 30 km in a single day!
