Hey Guys! Today's video shares my general tips on avoiding Modeling Scams. Please keep in mind that my experience is from mainly petite modeling and commercial acting with modeling agencies near me in Central Florida. While I'm not actively modeling anymore, I have years of experience and wanted to share what I know for those starting out! Some of the experiences may be different in other regions, especially where the unions have more power. I decided to make this video because I was getting a lot of comments on an older video asking if certain agencies were scams or not. I start off with my tips on avoiding modeling agency scams or talent agency scams. Then I share my tips on independent modeling scams that you would find on Instagram, Model Mayhem, or anywhere else online. 1. Never pay a modeling agency/annual fee 1:19
2. Standard commission for commercial modeling 2:28
3. Agencies shouldn't REQUIRE you to pay to take pictures with their resident photographer as a part of your contract. 2:50
4. Never pay to go to a casting call 4:05
5. Get all the details of a photoshoot (particularly freelance work) before accepting or meeting up 4:34
6. Always ask for the location before hand to see if it is in a professional or public place 5:29
7. Do NOT give out too much personal identifiable information 6:22
