This video taught us the difference between reef safe, reef safe with caution, and non-reef safe fishes. We learned which could eat corals, inverts, and/or fish. Typically, reef-safe fishes are fishes that would not eat your corals. Reef safe with caution means that there is a chance that the fish might eat corals or inverts. Not reef-safe fishes are fishes that eat corals. Understanding the differences would help to know the right fish to put in a reef tank. Reef aquariums should only house fishes that are safe for corals. If the fish is reef safe with caution, it is crucial to keep an eye out on them and take them out if they start eating corals. Some fishes would eat the inverts but might not eat the corals. Those are reef-safe with caution. A saltwater tank can be very dynamic and require care and maintenance.
