A massive wildfire erupted in Butte County, CA outside of Chico in the mid-afternoon. The fire, which was wind and slope-driven, moved quickly northeast, impacting the community of Cohasset. 150 people were trapped in Cohasset because the fire moved too quickly. At 11:30 pm, the Chico Municipal Airport was placed under a mandatory evacuation order.
