Canongate Kirkyard, at first glance, is rather nondescript cemetery in the shadows of the Calton Hill. However, it contains a number of notable burials, most famous of which is Adam Smith (yep, that one, the one revered by our capitalist friends).
Granted, I was beat after exploring Edinburgh Castle and the Holyroodhouse Palace, that I did not care to seek out Adam Smith. My goal is to capture an overall mood of this graveyard. I should state that despite sunny weather and presence of people, I felt the heavy dread and overall discomfort.
