The #Blockhaus d'Éperlecques is a Second World War bunker, now a #WW2 museum, near Saint-Omer in the northern Pas-de-Calais département of #France, and only some 14.4 kilometres north-northwest from the more developed La Coupole V-2 launch facility, in the same area.
The bunker was built by Nazi Germany under the codename Kraftwerk Nord West (Powerplant Northwest) between 1943 and 1944. It was originally intended to be a launching facility for the V-2 ballistic missile. It was made to hold up to 100 missiles.

The facility would have a train station and a liquid oxygen factory. It was constructed using the labour of thousands of war prisoners and tons of steel and concrete were used.
The unique bunker has been open to the general public since 1973 and was listed as an "Ancient Memorials" more than a decade later - in 1985. Every history lover would enjoy seeing the inside of the biggest dangerous bunker in the North of France and feeling its peculiar atmosphere.
