The 911 Turbo is a cult supercar, having been in production for nearly fifty years. The air-cooled cars were a symbol of luxury and extravagance in their day, while today they are celebrated as an icon of the 911 genre.

For the first time, 9WERKS TV brings every air-cooled 911 Turbo derivative together for a giant, head-to-head test – so big, in fact, we've had to split this into two parts!

In part one, we bring you the 930 years: from 1974-1989, the 911 Turbo underwent constant and quiet evolution as Porsche finessed their flagship supercar. But what are these classics like to drive? We sample the 3.0 then study the differences between it and the 3.3, with an added test drive of a cool Flachbau (flatnose) 930 as the very symbol of Eighties excess.
