Desert Lore: Banded Tiger Chert

Описание: In this episode of Desert Lore, I teach about a fascinating mineral called banded tiger chert. This beautiful striped chert comes from just one hillside in Wyoming. It has been used by native peoples for over 13,000 years and has been traded from Canada to Mexico, and from California to Illinois. In this video I teach about the mineral and I also demonstrate how to make a spear head out of it using ancient flint knapping techniques.
