All videos were filmed at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA.
The college was undergoing renovations and new buildings were being constructed at the time of filming. The newest building which will become the student housing building will be completed next year. So without further ado, enjoy!
1. Winstead Hall Unisex Restrooms: This was the first restroom I’ve filmed during this spree. The restrooms weren’t all that interesting, though it was strange to see stall partitions inside. The restrooms weren’t really a good start.
2. Weaver Hall: The Weaver Hall was one of the original buildings at the college, and was renovated in the early 1970s based on what I saw. The Kohler Stanwells was a surprise to me since I’ve never seen Stanwells before. The original 1970s Kingston [Or Corwyn] was also very amazing, and rare for the most part in Northern California. However, I did not see the same results on the second floor. The restroom did have Stanwells, but one of them was tragically replaced by a waterless urinal, and the toilet was a modern Afwall. While I did find some pretty amazing stuff, I didn’t see it as much on the second floor.
3. Building Q: The building was relatively brand new out of the construction, it opened this year during the winter semester and houses media and tech, possibly even drama classes. The restrooms were also pretty well designed, and of course was infested with modern Kohler fixtures, including for the most part Kingston Ultras. The men’s restrooms were incredibly large, and echoes the modern Target style they decided using for the walls. Overall, the restrooms were pretty decent, given it’s a brand new building and wasn’t expecting anything good.
4. Construction Hall: I wasn’t able to get any further depth in the hall itself, and wasn’t able to find a men’s restroom. However, I stumbled upon very vintage looking restrooms. But I was super disappointed to see what the toilets were, and both of them were regular Kingstons. I did like the vibe of it being an older gas station design.
5. Leadership Hall: This restroom was relatively strange, with the design of it being either like out of the bungalows or something like that. The restroom was annoyingly very hot and had to wipe sweat off my face a few times, in addition to the stalls being super-cramped in some places. Of course the fixtures were relatively new, but were better than the others.
6. Library Building: The library had at least 4 floors including the 1st which I wasn’t able to get to because of time. The library had gender neutral restrooms I wasn’t able to film because it was out in the open and I didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention. I was able to shoot at least 3 floors inside the building. Judging by what I saw, the building was built in the early 1990s. I was surprised to see Eljer Auburns (yes, @stfplumbingelevatorsandmore‘s favorites) in addition to original sinks. I wasn’t completely able to film the first 3rd floor restroom across where students get their IDs because it was occupied. However, the other one was a discovery upon closer inspection. Overall, the restrooms were pretty decent.
7. Theater Hall: The college’s theater and subsequent hall was another one of the original buildings at the college. It looks amazingly vintage and 70s on the inside. But I was extremely disappointed when I filmed the restrooms. I wasn’t completely able to see the whole building in depth. But the fixtures were ludicrous, and doesn’t belong whatsoever.
8. Mathematics and Technology Center: I have to admit, the building was pretty impressive at first glance and had multiple floors. I wasn’t able to do them all because of time constraints. However, I gotta admit I did suck at math in High School, but the building was pretty large. The restrooms were also large and mostly surprisingly consisted of toilets and very few urinals. One of the Kingstons actually had a black U-shaped seat. None of the fixtures were original. But I’m pretty sure the other floors had better fixtures.
9. Sewell Hall and Museum: Surprisingly, the college ACTUALLY had a museum and acted as the science building. I actually toured the place and by far was the best museum on a college campus, and was open to the public amazingly enough. The restrooms were on both sides. However, none of the fixtures were great.
10. Carner Hall: The Restrooms were by far the best, and actually had vintage fixtures in them. One of the toilets wasn’t original. I was amazed to see vintage Crane Del-Rios and one Walton! The restroom was amazing!
11. Winstead Center: This was hidden far in the back when I came in from the rear. I used the building as a shortcut to get to the cafeteria. The restroom aren’t great.
12. J building: This was another huge disappointment in terms of the fixtures. While larger than my high school’s cafeteria. The restrooms didn’t met satisfactory standards.
13. Gym: All I can say was the restrooms weren’t even close to satisfactory. Designs were good.
