Amtrak runs 30 trains each week day on California’s Capitol Corridor route between Oakland and Sacramento. Eight of those trains continue westbound to San Jose while seven eastbounds originate in San Jose. One train in each direction has its origin and terminus in Auburn east of Sacramento.
This compilation was shot between March, 2013, and February, 2015. The locations move eastbound from Santa Clara to Alviso, Fremont’s Centerville station, along San Pablo Bay to the cities of Pinole and Hercules and end in Martinez which sees a total of 46 passenger trains each day.
