But not this time.

We drop hot. I immediately panic, land slightly short, and have to sprint in like I forgot something in the car. Boogie is already frying someone with a Nemesis AR. Picklenator is calmly comming, “Cracked one… knocked.” Meanwhile I’m fighting for my life against a bot who is aggressively missing every shot.

And here’s where history changed.

I actually won my 1v1.

No third party.
No teammate bailing me out.
Just me and a confused default skin who probably unplugged their controller halfway through.

From there, the vibes were immaculate. Comms were clean. Rotations were smart. For once, I wasn’t 200 meters behind saying, “Wait up guys, I’m looting minis.” I was in the fight. I was cracking shields. I was finishing knocks. I even called out a flank that saved Picklenator from getting sent back to lobby simulator.

Mid-game got sweaty. A team tried to gatekeep zone, but we slid in together like we rehearsed it. Boogie laid down pressure, Picklenator beamed the height player, and I — yes, ME — hit a clutch shotgun shot to secure the knock that swung the fight.

I’m not saying I carried.

I’m just saying I wasn’t a liability.

End game was stacked. Five teams. Tiny circle. Zero builds means no panic towers — just positioning and aim. We held edge, played patient, let two teams grief each other. When it came down to 3v3, it was actually coordinated chaos.

Boogie cracked two.
Picklenator full sent a knock.
I pushed with them instead of hesitating like I usually do.

We focus-fired the last guy and BOOM — Victory Royale.

For once, the post-game screen didn’t look like a charity event. I had real damage. Real elims. Real contribution.

Boogie and Picklenator still did their thing — absolute demons as usual — but this time I wasn’t just there to carry extra ammo.

I was part of the trio.
