After NOT a very good night's sleep in Guanshan, I made my way to Fugang. But before that, I cycled on a scenic bicycle trail that goes around the town of Guanshan. Along the way, I met another cyclist who turned out to be a bit too chatty for my sleep-deprived mood, and I found myself getting a little annoyed🫢.

Under the persuasion of a taxi driver, I took County Road 197, a stunning and less-traveled back-country route to Fugang instead of Highway Route 9. Despite the steep, mountainous terrain that had me cursing all the way uphill, I was glad I followed his advice—after all, taxi drivers know their roads well, right? ;)

After reaching Fugang, I was too lazy to find a wild camping spot. So I ended up crashing at a 7-Eleven instead. It was conveniently close to the port where I'd catch my boat to Green Island the next day.
