Hello guys! Here in this latest episode of Plants and Life YouTube Channel, you are going to learn two tricks to get multiple branches on Adenium plant. Generally, the species of Adenium, we grow most, is Adenium Obesum. Obesum generally do not produce lot of branches naturally like Arabicum or Thai varieties, we often see a single stem is growing upward. But having more branches on Adenium is beneficial, like when we train adenium for bonsai, multiple stems are necessary and also we can get more flowers when we have more branches as I said in previous video. So let's quicky check two simple tricks but before that please consider subscribing if you have not yet done

So look at this adenium, it doesn't has many stems, so what we have to do this, just simply cut the stem. Don't skip the video here, one more important thing, we have to do here. That is, to protect the wound from infection. As adenium is a succulent, fungal infection or rotting is very common. So, Give a layer of antifungal powder and you can seal it with candle wax.
So, here you can see, after 1 year later, so many branches have been generated as you can see here, now, I am showing how you can apply fevigum to seal the wound, this will be more effective. Look carefully. And also look at this adenium, having multiple branches, it is producing more flowers as you can see. Let's move on to next trick.

So, here I am going to show you another trick to generate more branches in adenium. This is called pinching. This is so simple. Just use your finger tip to prune off the top of the branch. Below the cut, you will see two or three branches will appear in some days. This is as simple as that. Make sure to use antifungal powder on the cut to prevent any kind of fungal infection.
