Officer Heather McClelland of the Groton Town Police Department's Community Policing Unit takes "McDonald" the police department's new service dog around on their weekly rounds at the Groton Public Library. Unlike other police K9 work dogs, McDonald is trained as a service dog specifically trained to assist with emotional support of first responders.
