He noted that while the 1962 war was fought with almost no roads, today's infrastructure allows for direct access to the border, stating, 'Today, you have road going right up to the border, face to face with Chinese.' He emphasized the strategic importance of the Moran ELF, which doubles as a highway and a runway, and warned of the need for constant preparedness given the proximity of Chinese airbases like Baoshan and Dali.
