Leigh has been a Respiratory Therapist for 17 years and is the Supervisor for the RT department at St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor WA. Her career in medicine includes working as a Paramedic for 13 years, being involved in many specialty teams caring for patients in austere conditions, and providing medical support for the athletes at the prestigious freedive competition Vertical Blue on Long Island, Bahamas. Freedive medicine opened a world of interest in apnea and advocacy on safe freediving and advances in freedive treatment. The two areas of intensive respiratory care and apnea have brought Leigh insight and interest into the world of freediving and caring for freedive athletes.
