it’s always bittersweet when a senior graduates, and to see their entire gymnastics career come to a finish. but every good thing must come to an end, and this is the end of one of the greatest gymnasts that Canada and UCLA had to offer. Peng has continuously demonstrated amazing talent throughout her routines these past 6 years at UCLA, and many more as one of Canada’s top elite gymnasts. although her career in gymnastics has ended, her future will still be as bright as it always has been. her talents in singing and athletics has brought smiles to all our faces everyday. aside from having one of the most difficult bars and beam routines in the NCAA, Peng has been the leader of this team, and one for many of her teammates and fans around the world to look up to. That is all because of her fierce determination to get the job done, her focus when it counts most, and her endless laughs to show how fun gymnastics really can be. Peng has taught me specifically, to never ever give up, especially when times get tough. I know that if she can fight through any injury that comes in her way, I can do the same too. coming to every UCLA home meet this season (and meeting Peng), has inspired me to come back to gymnastics even sooner, after my serious back injury. I know that you will continue to inspire me, and many others everyday with whatever you decide to do in the future. we all love and support you so much and can’t wait to see what you do next. #pengpengbangsforever #penguins
