I inherited an old vice, it's seen some use but tools like this are good for several lifetimes. For me it needed a clean and a fresh coat of paint. I thought I could clean up the paint work with a wire brush but once the dirt was off I could see it was damaged. So I dissembled it, use a paint stripper and cleaned it before repainting.
