Based on the idea of Ayano realizing that if she can't have senpai (Taro Yamada), no one can.
But Ayano couldn't kill Senpai herself because she "loves" him, so she kidnapped her rival (Osana Najimi) and tortured her to become her mind slave, ordering her to kill senpai.
Ayano then hung herself under the confession tree behind the school.
