Ukraine has called its defense agreement with the US as a new stage in their bilateral cooperation.
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy made these remarks in a tweet while on his visit to the US.
He hailed the US’ support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity, gaining NATO membership and opposition to Russian aggression.
Earlier, the 2 sides signed the agreements in the field of research, development, testing and evaluation of weapons.
Washington has also promised Kyiv up to 60 million dollars in military aid to counter Moscow’s military aggression.
Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet President Joe Biden at the White House today.
