New Gene Therapy for ALS
Our Guest Speaker, Hande Ozdinler., Ph.D., Dr. Ozdinler is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, focusing on understanding the biology and pathology of upper motor neurons. Degeneration of these neurons leads to HSP, PLS and is the defining factor for ALS diagnosis. Her lab has made important contributions for understanding the underlying causes of their selective vulnerability and generate numerous tools and model systems to reveal their biology as well as factors that lead to their degeneration.
