High above the clouds, hidden in fog where radar reads only weather, a long concrete prow waits behind a dim ribbon of windows. Built in secret by the order behind Watcher (OSF-051), it rose when Aqua Genesis proved a moving threat. Last Stand keeps the Stand Protocol: a final code that can freeze every open route at once, including bridges, tunnels, ports, and skyways, to buy the world time. The deck reads footsteps and the glass counts rescue beacons; if even one signal is still out there, the doors refuse and the rail stays warm and lit on stored power so someone can make it home. When no signals answer and no steps return, it sends the code and the network below hardens. It is high so nothing can reach it, and hidden so no one can stop it. They named it Last Stand because when everything else has failed, this is where the line is drawn.
