King of the Hill - Tom Petty & HBs w/ Roger McGuinn live 1987 (video!)

Описание: During the 'Temple in Flames' tour, Roger McGuinn previewed a new song with Petty (co-writer of the song) and the Heartbreakers backing him up: "King of the Hill." As we know from the 'An American Treasure' (2018) release, the band recorded the song with McGuinn when they returned from the tour in the end of 1987 but the song would be re-recorded and released for the first time on McGuinn's' Back to Rio' solo album (1991).
Fortunately, someone filmed the entirety of the 1 October 1987 'Temple in Flames' show in Verona, Italy (McGuinn's, Petty and the Heartbreakers' and Dylan's sets!). Because the audio that went with the video is inferior to other audience-recorded audio circulating from this show, I worked hard to sync the superior audio with the video.
Here Mike Campbell is sitting down playing a pedal steel slide guitar and McGuinn is playing his signature 12-string Rickenbacker.
