Описание: This lesson supplements th first two lessons in the series (that is, lessons 1.1 and 1.3). It alerts student-viewers to the "massiveness" of the context in which (especially, large) businesses operate. Achieving competitiveness in business is a function of a) having the necssary resources just to enter into the competitive space, with half a chance of surviving and b) developing and hence enjoying enterprise competencies which set the business apart (in the best kind of way) from its competitors. We call the first, "essential" kind of competence "threshold competencies" and the second, differentiating competencies, "core competencies".
