On October 14, 2025, in Misamis Oriental, Philippines, @michelle.awiten.velasco shared a dramatic video of a water rescue at Balingoan Port. In the video, around 6:18 AM near Lapinig Island, a crew member of the MV Francisco 1 fell into the water after the ferry’s ramp detached from its hinge while en route. The crew member was quickly rescued by a nearby fisherman and transported to a hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
