6/28/19 Fillmore Controlled burn

Описание: At 10:00am Fillmore city Fire, Ventura county Fire, Cal Fire, and U.S. Forest service initiated a Controlled burn with live fire training. Fire crews were burning 1/8 acre of light standing grass at a time, over a two day period with total acreage being 15 acres with dry conditions. Fire crews anticipate 90 to 100 percent consumption of the grasses when completed. Fire crews used hand firing devices to maintain the constant flank of to be extinguished with hand crews and engine companies. The training was in place to allow firefighters to practice their wildland firefighting skills, under a controlled environment while experiencing realistic emergency conditions.
