This Méditation was improvised by Louis Vierne at the organ of the Notre Dame in Paris for a recording in 1929. It was edited by Maurice Duruflé. Here it is performed by Matthias Havinga on the 1830 Bätz-organ of the Koepelkerk or Ronde Lutherse Kerk (Amsterdam), with the kind and musical help of registration assistant Victor Baena.
