Описание: While the Kia EV3 might look like an EV9 just parked further away, it doesn’t feel like a simple copy-and-paste job. This compact electric SUV is designed to appeal to a wider customer base by offering 400V fast-charging and a lounge-like interior cabin in a smaller package at an affordable price. If you’re looking to dodge the luxury car tax on electric cars over £40,000, then the EV3 might be up your street.

Kia’s all-electric line-up includes the Niro EV, EV6, and EV9, and they all have a clear purpose—whether that be refinement and practicality, performance and handling, or comfort and luxury. Kia has taken findings from those electric cars and added the EV3 to its strong EV catalogue. The purpose? A compact design and improved driving range. By indirectly replacing the Soul EV, Kia firmly establishes its new ‘digital tiger face’ and ‘starlight headlight’ design language, which is seen in the firm’s other zero-emission vehicles.

The EV3 sits on a modified version of the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) used for the EV6 and EV9. It is the first compact EV to utilise the platform, and the first e-GMP vehicle to offer front-wheel drive. The EV3 also establishes itself as the most affordable Kia EV, starting at £33,005, £4330 less than the entry-level version of the Niro EV. This aligns it with the Volvo EX30 and makes it more affordable than the stylish Cupra Born, but the Skoda Elroq starts at a more attractive price.

Interior space looks to be high on the priority list, as the spacious cabin and flat floor mean legroom isn’t much of an issue. You might struggle to get three adults in the back, but it’s not out of the question. A minimalist-designed interior only helps to give the impression of a copious interior cabin. The boot has a generously sized 460 litres capacity and there’s an additional 25 litres beneath the bonnet.
