In this episode of Solo Playthroughs, Greg presents a second playthrough of Gaia Project, in a matchup of the Firaks against the Taklons with the difficulty set on Automachtig (Hard). The Taklons' faction ability is designed to keep the solo player cramped in. Meanwhile, once their planetary institute is constructed, the Firaks rely on an interesting mechanic of downgrading research labs in order to move up the tech tracks. As always, Gaia Project presents the player with an incredible and rich assortment of decisions, and the player is left trying to thread the needle between point chasing and pure engine building.
