F10 BMW 550i Ignition Coil & Spark Plug Replacement DIY (2011-2016 BMW F10 550i, M5)

Описание: ►BMW engines built in the last twenty years have become very particular about their spark plug and ignition coil replacements. The rigors of a high-compression engine with turbocharging and direct fuel injection, like those in the N63 and S63 V8s, have considerably reduced the effective life of standard ignition components. The plugs and coils are in charge of igniting the fuel and air mixture inside the cylinder. If either the coil or plug isn't working as intended, the engine will lose power, run roughly, and throw a check engine code. Replacing the spark plugs and ignition coils on time is the best possible way to prevent that from happening.

How often you'll need to change your spark plugs and coils is up to your application. BMW's modern turbocharged power plants have a relatively short ignition service interval of about 37,000-miles. Modified examples should reduce the interval even further to about 20-30,000-miles. Modified examples should also consider using a one-step colder spark plug for better performance. The colder plugs will help reduce pre-ignition, also known as detonation or pinging.
