The house is in Shimane prefecture and we were so surprised by the natural beauty of the area and the number of outdoor activities and sights that are only a short drive from the beautiful valley where it is located. It is both a #kominka (old folk house) and an #akiya (empty house) and was a boutique sake brewery in it's former life. The owners made sake from the well that still exists in the front garden.
