If you haven't tried it before, it is a game changer, it helps you lock in focus each time, so as you recompose the image, your subject stays in focus and the camera doesn't end up trying to refocus on different things after recomposing an image.

I use back button focusing for wedding photography, commercial photography, food photography. Anywhere I need to nail the focus, and choose what I want to be focusing on before I change the composition, back button focusing is perfect for it!

This is a great setting for all beginner and advanced photographers, and you'll definitely see a change in your photography work afterwards. It's on thing that I decided to start using about five years ago, and instantly upped my photography skills, because I was able to compose an image exactly as i wanted it, after I had focused on my subject, and its much quicker than Focus Peaking.
