This video features my musical notation of O Dungga Man Ninyo, a traditional folk song from Panay Island in the Philippines. This song reflects the rich cultural heritage and musical traditions of the people in Panay. Its melody expresses deep emotion and showcases the beauty of local language and storytelling through music.
In this project, I used the MuseScore app for the first time to notate and play back the song digitally. Through this, I was able to better understand its rhythm, melody, and overall musical structure while practicing my music notation skills.
This experience helped me appreciate Filipino folk music more and improved my confidence in using music technology for learning and creativity.
