The concern of possible food shortages in the near future should encourage people to at least practice techniques to store food in case of a possible shortage. There are many modern tools and techniques to accomplish this task but mother nature has also given us primitive ways to process and keep food for long term storage. In this video I show a simple technique to process, dry and preserve prickly pear fruit for future use. This same technique can also be used for other fruits such as pineapple, papaya, and others.
