As the Executive Director of Centre for Catalyzing Change, an Indian NGO focused on empowering women and girls, she has spent three decades defining approaches and strategies which promote gender equality and building campaigns on amplification of women's voices. Dr. Gogoi holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and her work has been widely recognized, including by The Guardian, UK, which recognised her as one of the world's 100 most inspiring women in 2011.
